What is Full Form and Work of a B.D.O. ?
Full Form of BDO is Block Development Officer. The BDO is assigned for Applying and Implementing the Schema or Projects or the Programs within the Assigned block. The Block here is the District's sub-division, and there are many Blocks within a District. So, to apply the Program or Schema within a District then the task is assigned to the B.D.O. who takes the charge to apply the program within his/her Block.
Why B.D.O. is needed ?
B.D.O. is the In-charge Officer of a Particular Block of a District. The District have so many blocks within itself and the Government is not able to see whether the development is done or not .
So, B.D.O. (Block Development Officer ) is Hired to look after it, and also B.D.O. helps the Gram Panchayat to apply some Projects in his/her Block for Development Purpose.

What is the Qualification Needed to become an B.D.O ?
There are not so many Requirements for becoming a Block Development Officer. The Applicant must have completed his/her Graduation in any Stream or Subjects he/she likes. Then, a Exam procedure is followed and after the Exams the Interview of the applicant is done by Senior Officers who decides whether to take the Applicant or not.
