Overview of CAA :

CAA Stands for Citizenship Amendment Act . CAA is introduced by Amit shah (BJP President). CAA is now a law that is also cleared by President of INDIA to Indian Residents.

Citizenship Bill States that the illegal Immigrants of Hindu, Parsis ,Sikh ,Buddhist and Christians that are from Pakistan , Afghanistan and Bangladesh who were living in INDIA without any Proper Documentation will be Given Indian Citizenship within 6 Yrs of Residence in India, the standard time to get the Indian Citizenship was 12 Yrs before.

Why People Protesting: 

B.J.P opposition says that Right of Equality is not found in Citizenship Amendment Bill because there was no discussion about Muslim Immigrants, and the Bill Discriminates against Muslims and violates the right of Equality in Indian Constitution.
